AccentCare® and Seasons are One.
About the Combined Organization
AccentCare has always been focused on expanding our impact and delivering strong quality to our patients. Our merger with Seasons, which was official as of December 22, 2020, does just that by giving us broader representation across the country. Combined, we are able to bring our offerings into new markets and better connect the entire care continuum for our partners and for a growing number of patients.
Together, our organization operates over 225 sites of care across 26 states, and employs nearly 30,000 qualified professionals. And, we work with more than 60 health systems, physician practices, and joint venture partners to provide care to more than 175,000 patients and their families each year.
Our vision is to simplify the inherent complexity that comes with navigating multiple providers across the continuum of care. As a combined organization, we are helping patients and families, and our health system and physician partners, access our joint expertise and high-quality, dignified care.
AccentCare, Inc. is a nationwide, for-profit, leader in post-acute healthcare with services including home health, hospice, personal care services, medical home care, and health management services. Timeline | Process
Now that AccentCare and Seasons are officially combined, our leadership teams are working diligently to develop a thoughtful plan that brings together the best of each organization and continues our mutual focus on quality and exceptional care.
In time, we will connect care across disciplines to make referring patients easier. For now, nothing will change for our patients, families, and partners. Our health system and physician partners will continue to work with their respective AccentCare and Seasons Hospice representatives, as they always have, to refer patients and transition care from their practice to ours.
Our nearly 75 years of combined experience has taught us that every patient interaction is different – and that the only way to provide outstanding care is to do so with the best interest of the patient in mind at all times to ensure personalized care. The exceptional quality metrics of each organization validate this approach and quality care starts with engaged caregivers with an inspired call-to-purpose, supported by dedicated administrative teams and staff.
The Value of a Shared Organization
Both AccentCare and Seasons are focused on delivering exceptional care to patients across the country. AccentCare’s expertise in home health as well as PCS and hospice – and Seasons’ leadership in hospice and palliative care – have provided a foundation for the combined organization to elevate patient care to the next level.
As a merged entity, we now function as a single provider of all that patients and their families may need in these areas. They can leverage our complete range of offerings or select specific services as needed.
The combined organization broadens access, connects the care continuum, and bridges gaps in skilled home-based care to ease our practice partners’ burden and simplify the complexity that comes with navigating multiple referring companies. As a merged entity, we are now able to function as a single provider to reduce the time you spend identifying referrals for your patients. And our strong quality and outcome metrics make the combined organization an ideal partner for physicians too.
Team Member Benefits
The most valued resource for the newly combined organization is our employees. Together, we can offer even stronger support for our team members. Each organization has valuable learnings they are sharing with the other, learnings that will enable each to continue the great work it is currently doing, while also creating new opportunities for both teams to make even more of a difference in the lives of our patients and their families.
Our expanded scale and reach will allow us to reinvest in our employees and offer even stronger support as they continue living out their call to purpose. We are also investing in technologies and resources that are in the best interest of all of our staff, partners, and patients.
Will care for patients change?
No. Our nearly 75 years of combined experience has taught us that every patient interaction is different – and that the only way to provide outstanding care is to do so with the best interest of the patient in mind at all times to ensure personalized care. The exceptional quality metrics of each organization validate this approach. And quality care starts with engaged caregivers with an inspired call-to-purpose, supported by dedicated administrative teams and staff.
Will my caregiver change?
No. We know the relationships between patients and caregivers is special. Nothing has changed or will change in the near term, about how, or with whom, you receive care from our dedicated team.
Will my insurance still be accepted?
Yes. For now, nothing has changed with our relationships and contracts with payors. If the plan you signed up for as part of 2021 Open Enrollment includes AccentCare, it will still be accepted.
When did the deal become finalized? What happens next?
The deal was finalized December 22, 2020. Now, our leadership teams are working diligently, with the help of outside experts, to implement a thoughtful integration plan.
