About the Combined Organization

AccentCare has always been focused on expanding our impact and delivering strong quality to our patients. Our merger with Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care, which was official as of December 22, 2020, does just that by giving us broader representation across the country. Combined, we are able to bring our offerings into new markets and better connect the entire care continuum for our partners and for a growing number of patients.

 

Together, our organization operates over 246 sites of care across 29 states, and employs more than 30,000 qualified professionals. And, we work with more than 60 health systems, physician practices, and joint venture partners to provide care to more than 200,000 patients and their families each year.

 

Our vision is to simplify the inherent complexity that comes with navigating multiple providers across the continuum of care. As a combined organization, we are helping patients and families, and our health system and physician partners, access our joint expertise and high-quality, dignified care.

Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care is a community-based organization with an ongoing mission to find creative solutions that add quality to end-of-life care. The caregivers at Seasons Hospice hold steadfast to the patient/family focus of hospice care. The Seasons family consists of Seasons Healthcare Management, Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care, Seasons Hospice Foundation, and Seasons Medical Group. Founded in 1997, Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care is one of the largest hospice providers in the nation.

Timeline | Process

Now that AccentCare and Seasons are officially combined, our leadership teams are working diligently to develop a thoughtful plan that brings together the best of each organization and continues our mutual focus on quality and exceptional care.

In time, we will connect care across disciplines to make referring patients easier. For now, nothing will change for our patients, families, and partners. Our health system and physician partners will continue to work with their respective AccentCare and Seasons Hospice representatives, as they always have, to refer patients and transition care from their practice to ours.

Our nearly 75 years of combined experience has taught us that every patient interaction is different – and that the only way to provide outstanding care is to do so with the best interest of the patient in mind at all times to ensure personalized care. The exceptional quality metrics of each organization validate this approach and quality care starts with engaged caregivers with an inspired call-to-purpose, supported by dedicated administrative teams and staff.

FAQs

Will care for patients change?

Will my caregiver change?

No. We know the relationships between patients and caregivers is special. Nothing has changed or will change in the near term, about how, or with whom, you receive care from our dedicated team.

 

Will my insurance still be accepted?

Yes. For now, nothing has changed with our relationships and contracts with payors. If the plan you signed up for as part of 2021 Open Enrollment includes AccentCare, it will still be accepted.

 

When did the deal become finalized? What happens next?

The deal was finalized December 22, 2020.  Now, our leadership teams are working diligently, with the help of outside experts, to implement a thoughtful integration plan.
