COMFORT An Accent on

Hospice Care

During hospice care, comfort and peace of mind are what matters most for patients and their families. However, hospice care is not “giving up.” Instead, it’s about taking control and making the most of the days to come. Hospice care can allow you to focus on spending quality time with loved ones while helping to meet care needs and manage discomfort—all in the familiar surroundings of home.

AccentCare & Seasons Hospice and Palliative Care have come together to create a new organization, dedicated to hospice excellence. We understand the end of life challenges for patients and their family members. We work closely with patients, their loved ones, and physicians to provide hospice care in the familiar comfort of home. This web page is dedicated to AccentCare branded hospice locations, but we invite you to learn much more about Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care by following the blue link below.

AccentCare and Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care are there every step of the way. We work with a wide interdisciplinary team to create plans of care that address clinical needs and pain management while allowing patients and families to play an integral role in their care decisions. Hospice care incorporates personal wishes and family support, including end of life planning and counseling.

We are dedicated to providing quality care along with genuine compassion. That includes meeting the highest standards of accreditation as well as serving and honoring our hospice patients.

Our hospice team members provide a multitude of services from pain management to emotional, spiritual and end-of-life planning support. We also offer bereavement counseling for families to help them better cope with their loss. Through our partnership with the We Honor Veterans program, we offer specialized programs for the unique needs of our patients who have served our country in the military.

A program of the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO) and the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), We Honor Veterans provides resources to help extend hospice care uniquely designed for those who have served our country. This program recognizes organizations that demonstrate a consistent commitment to improving care for Veterans with a tiered partnership system. Most of our offices have achieved the highest level of participation, Level Four, helping to ensure the unique needs of our Veterans are met. At AccentCare our employees believe it’s an honor to serve all hospice patients, even when they’re not our own. That’s why we created the AccentCare Hospice Foundation.

Supported by personal donations from our employees and by family, friends, or employers of those touched by hospice care, the non-profit foundation offers hospice patients financial assistance to meet needs that are not covered by traditional hospice benefits. Whether providing a warm set of pajamas or covering traveling costs for a loved one’s visit, the Hospice Foundation offers support, peace of mind and often dignity to those who need it most. Hospice care is available for patients whose physicians have determined they have less than six months to live, should their disease follow its expected course. Many individuals wait to enter hospice care until the last days of life, and unfortunately, miss out on many of the benefits hospice care can provide to the patient and their loved ones.

To make a donation, visit and search for “AccentCare” to contribute the amount of your choice. We appreciate your generosity, which will help a hospice patient in need.

Our Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care family members also sponsor a thriving hospice foundation.   If you would like to know more about the great work of the Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care Foundation, please follow this link
