Texas Home Health debuts personal care services in San Angelo
Expansion helps tackle growing senior needs in the Big Country
(San Angelo, Texas)- More options are now available for in-home personal care services as AccentCare’s Texas Home Health opened its doors this week. The new location will offer families, individuals, and the aging population an array of services such as transportation, meal prep, housekeeping, bathing, dressing, and a number of other daily tasks to help provide security and independence, routinely or while recovering after a hospital stay.
“Now more than ever, with the coronavirus, there’s an even greater need for care and assistance within the home environment. I’m proud we can be a resource that helps San Angelo residents thrive at home, where they are the safest and most comfortable,” said Steve Rodgers, CEO of AccentCare.
Texas Home Health has been serving the State of Texas for more than 50 years, and the services offered deeply and positively impact the veteran community that desires independence, dignity, and aging in place. It is a community close to the hearts of Rodgers and Javin Mitchell, San Angelo director of patient care services, who both served in the military. Nearly 15 percent of the San Angelo population is over the age of 65, according to a 2019 U.S. census report.
“I know that being the director requires a certain level of responsibility and leadership to ensure that everyone receives the highest level of care,” said Mitchell. “I continue to dedicate the rest of my life to serving my country…either as Sgt. Mitchell 92A Automated Logistical Specialist, or as the new director.”
The office is located at 4202 Sherwood Way, Suite A, and operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m., the mainline is 325-304-7013.
